FUNDRAISING STORIES

GIRLS DAY OUT

In June 2023, around 15 girls from St Columba’s Free Church took part in a morning of pampering, crafts, and baking. Playing out their own version of a Sparkle Sisters Pamper Night, they had their nails painted, hair done, made friendship bracelets and decorated cookies! A spot at the morning was a donation to Sparkle Sisters, and the girls raised a fabulous £45! Well done ladies!

BLYTHE’S MARATHON

On a very hot Saturday in June, Blythe ran her inaugural marathon around the beautiful city of Stockholm and raised an incredible £710. Despite a setback of a leg injury that threatened to derail her plans she was amazed by answers to prayer when she manged to complete it pain free - in her leg anyway! We at Sparkle Sisters are so thankful for her dedication and courage, and are so proud of her massive achievement. Blythe commented “it was a privilege to raise money for a charity that I really believe in and am excited to see it grow. I also want to give thanks to all those who supported me as it meant a lot”.

WREATH MAKING FUN

We are so thankful to Esk Valley Church for raising the amazing sum of £623.06 at their annual fundraising wreath making event. It looks like an incredible amount of hard work went into making it a fun evening which resulted in some beautiful artistic creations. Our Sparkle Sisters women will benefit greatly from the generosity of this church community who not only support us financially but practically, by providing amazing massage therapists and hairdressers for our pamper events.
